About the Institute

The Institute registers and licenses the professionals who design Rwanda's buildings

The Rwanda Institute of Architects registers and licenses the professionals who design Rwanda's buildings, sets the standards they work to, and acts when those standards are not met. Registration is a legal requirement, not a membership choice: only people and firms on the register may offer architectural services in Rwanda.

Under Law No. 26/2012 governing the profession of Architecture, admission to practice — for individuals and for legal entities providing architectural services — runs through the Institute. Apply online and join the register.
