Privacy notice
What the public register publishes about a member, what is withheld, and how RIA handles personal data.
What it covers
- What the public register publishes about a member, and on what legal basis.
- What is deliberately not published: personal telephone numbers, personal email addresses, identity-document numbers and dates of birth.
- How a member opts in to being contactable through the directory, and how they withdraw it.
- What happens to information submitted through the contact, complaint and unregistered-practice forms.
- Retention periods, and who to contact about your own data.
Legal basis and consent
The register is published under RIA’s statutory mandate to maintain a public record of licensed architects and firms in Rwanda. Members provide consent to being listed as part of registration, and may separately opt in to being contactable through the public directory.
Your data, your choice
If you have a question about your own data, or wish to withdraw consent to being contactable through the directory, contact RIA’s secretariat.
