Careers at the Institute
Vacancies at the RIA secretariat, what it is like to work here, and how the recruitment process runs.
Current vacancies
No open vacancies at present
This page lists roles at the Institute itself. It is not a job board for the profession — vacancies at member firms are not advertised here.

Working here
What the secretariat does
The secretariat runs registration and licensing, keeps the public register accurate, administers examinations and CPD, prepares Council and board papers, handles complaints, and represents the Institute to government, partners and the regional bodies.
It is a small team, so roles are broad. People here are trusted with real responsibility quickly and see the effect of their work on the profession and on the public who rely on it.
Why work at RIA
Careers
How we recruit
- 01
Application
Send your CV and a short covering letter to the address on the vacancy notice before the closing date. - 02
Shortlisting
The secretariat shortlists against the published criteria. Everyone who applies hears back either way. - 03
Written exercise
Most roles include a short practical task relevant to the job, done in your own time. - 04
Interview panel
A panel of secretariat staff and, for senior roles, a Council member. - 05
References and offer
Two references, then a written offer setting out terms, grade and start date.
Equal opportunity
Speculative applications
If nothing listed matches you, send your details anyway. Say what kind of work you are looking for and the secretariat will keep your application on file for twelve months.
Or email your CV to careers@ria.rw.
