Membership and licensing
Register a single project
If you are working on one project in Rwanda rather than establishing a practice, you can register for that project rather than as a firm.
Project registration covers a named project for a defined period. It does not permit you to take other work in Rwanda, and it ends when the project ends.
To register a project you submit a project brief of no more than two pages explaining the architectural concept, an application letter under the project-based membership category, the CV of a competent professional with proof of registration and a certificate of good standing from RIA or their home regulator, a full company profile or portfolio, and proof of payment of the project registration fee.
What it costs
Project registration starts at USD 800 for visiting members and foreign practitioners operating locally, and at USD 1,500 for foreign firms, in both cases charged according to the scale of the project. Fees are payable once the secretariat confirms your file is complete.
